This little Grey squirrel lives in the park near my home in Wiltshire, some are very tame and will eat from your hand. When I was a child we would see the native Red squirrels too. Sadly these days their American cousin, the Grey squirrel has taken over, with only a few areas in the Uk still with Red squirrels.

I remember, these guys would come right up to the window from a tree's branch touching our house, and wait for us to drop the nuts on our windowsill.
