Easy Light Hiking Outing Coupled with Best Homemade Sandwiches

My sister and I met up for a Girls Day Out yesterday, which isn't something we get to do all the time these days with both our busy schedules. We decided to do a little hiking and chose an easy light trail in Coquitlam.

It was a fun drive out from Vancouver, and the surrounding area was beautiful with lots of greenery. The Crystal Falls hike had a lovely waterfall reward at the end of the trail.

There were young kids, seniors, dogs and bikers alike who shared the trail and took advantage of the peaceful healthful opportunity. There were also people who wanted to go a faster pace and did some jogging fitness goodness.

The weather forecast was for 22 degrees Celsius but turned out to be actually cooler than this during our hike, and so we enjoyed a really comfortable hike at optimum temperature. Bonus was that my sis and I managed to find a phenomenal parking spot even though it was somewhat busy.

Oh yes, my sister made sandwiches to bring along! She makes THE BEST picnic sandwiches, and yesterday's were filled with loads of healthy veggies and tasty marbled cheddar cheese 👍❤️ I packed a big batch of fresh local raspberries and blueberries purchased from a fruit/vegetables stand manned by two cool brothers from their farm in Delta.

It was yummy nourishment I must say!! So eager were we to dig into all this tastiness that I forgot to take pics. Will have to share some on our next nature outing 😀
