Has your husband tried them before? There was some kind called "caqui" where I lived in southern Spain that was really juicy. Too juicy... Lol. There was a hint of melon-like taste I didn't care for.

It was fun! Yes he has eaten a lot of persimmons. They grow wild in Arkansas where his Grandma lived when he was a little boy. We found some ripe ones in Arkansas today. They tasted good. They make wine out of them also!
