The Italian architect, Stefano Boeri, made it possible. An amazing vertical forest that has become a model for a sustainable building. It's a project that contributes to the regeneration of the environment and urban biodiversity that doesn't need the expansion of the the city for making it true.

El arquitecto italiano, Stefano Boeri, lo ha hecho posible. Un impresionante bosque vertical que se ha convertido en un modelo de edificios sostenibles. Se trata de un proyecto que contribuye a la regeneración del medio ambiente y a la biodiversidad urbana que no necesita de la expansión de la ciudad para poderse llevar a cabo.

WHERE? - ¿DÓNDE?

The first project was built in Milan in 2014. The two buildings are 110 and 76 meters high and they have almost 900 trees in it, all of them between 3 and 9 meters tall.

El primer proyecto se llevó a cabo en Milán en 2014. Sus dos edificios tienen 110 y 76 metros de altura, entre los cuales tienen unos 900 árboles, todos ellos entre los tres y los nueve metros de altura.

A second project is being built in the Chinese city of Nanjing and it's supposed to be finished next year.

Un segundo proyecto está siendo construido en la ciudad china de Nanjing y se prevé que esté acabada el próximo año.

In my opinion an amazing initiative that I hope to see in every big city around the world. If we keep building cities this way, destroying the 'green hearts' of the Earth, there's no other solution to the problem that will end with the planet we're living in.
