Leaf-Footed Pine Seed Bug Addition

in nature •  6 years ago

Last week I did a post on Leaf-footed Pine Seed Bug Nymphs which can be seen here: https://steemit.com/nature/@whatisnew/leaf-footed-pine-seed-bug

As I reminder, here is one of the photos of the nymphs.

And look what I found a couple of days ago!

This is a teenager.

And here is the adult.

How cool is that? It was as if they were just waiting for me.

Great photos of them! Are they harmful to the tree?

Thanks Melinda! They do not do any harm to the tree however, they can make pine cones seedless.

I'm starting to itch.

From these leaf-footed bugs or fleas? LOL!

Just love learning about bugs from my friend @whatisnew! ❤ :-)
Can you help with these bugs over here?
it kinda looked like a earwig nymph but not really lol

There you go again...making my head swell with your compliments. : )
I looked over there and I can't even see the photo. I could barely see the lady bug. That sure is a clever idea.

We better watch that head swelling, for some reason
I thought of those bobble heads and the giant head
guys on star trek lol

I had to right click those bugs and open in another window
then click again to zoom it.
Bigger Bugs Photo

No biggie, more bugs to come! ❤ 🐜 Love bug lol

Ah, the good 'ole bobble heads. I thought of a migraine after I wrote it.

Thanks for the info on how to zoom in on those bugs. I hope it works for me.

I forgot to tell you that I love the love bug. : )

Love bug, Love boat, hmmmm
Love Train, Love Plane? haha

I remember that bug lol
