Water - Part 1.

everything waits for rain there is no life without rain no living being can ever survive without water even though some beings do live without air ; some kinds of bacteria can live without air.

However, we've never heard so far, Acually water is a very incredible liquid only a thirsty person really appreciates water. If an emperor was dying of thirst his crown and empire wouldn't be worth a drop of water.

As a matter of fact, water's got some very odd characteristics, distinguishing it from any other liquid or substance, and making it totally unique. For exemple, water is the only liquid we know of, that can be found in its tree states, at the same time and place. That's you may find water as a liquid, solid ice and vapor, too, at the same timw and place; while drinking a glass of water with ice therein, you find vapor condesaing on the glass; the three states of water are found in the same glass, so it;s the only liquid that can be found in its 3 states at the same time and place.

Also, water is unlike all other substances on Earth; we know all substances shrink in cold temperatures, and expand by heat. However at a temperature of 4'c and unlike all substane, water expands; it expands at low temperatures while heat decreases its size. All liquids get heavy when frozen, exept water, it gets lighter when frozen, as ice floats.

This is indeed a very significant thing as ice floating over the oceans has had important results. That has led to covering polar oceans, as if ice an insulator as if these oceans were wearing a coat! So their deep water is protected from freezing temperatures that may reach 50' below zero. Marine creatures'd have died there, hadn't ice covered the oceans. So when it piled up and floats it insulates the ocean water, keeping the temperature below 4'c. Thus all beings underneath can live. All that depended on a strange characteristic of water; it gets lighter when frozen, unlike all other substances. If water was heavier when frozen, ice'd be formed and sink deep, and cold oceans'd be full of ice, killing all beings there.

Another strange thing about water is that goes up capillary tubes, against gravity, gravity pulls everything down, including all liquids, except for water, which goes up capillary tubes; this phenomenon is called capillarity. This was a helping factor for palms, for example, that need water to go all the way up to the top.

Also , water has a strange characteristic of charging substances, dissolving them into negative and positive ions. That; s a significant characteristic as chemistry is based on it; inorganic chemistry and biochemistry ....
