Baby Lizard

in naturephotography •  7 years ago

Good afternoon!

Today we rehomed a family of lizards that had set up home under a tarp in our garden. The task was carefully and successfully accomplished! Here's a photo of one of the tiny babies :)

Cute. What kind of lizard is that?

I think as @adammillwardart has well pointed out, it is a gecko :)

Very beautiful shot dear

Thank you very much @lalitswami :)

Oh wow. Amazing job!!

Thanks @gearup! :)

I adore lizards! Where is this? E don’t have any in the uk :( so sad!

They're so lovely. I'm in Spain currently where there seem to be plenty around!

Oh my goodness, how cute is that?!

SO cute! :D

Wow! What a complete darling thing he is, and I have to commend you on taking the trouble to rehouse the family. What a happy big extended family your homestead sounds like! Haha

Thanks @icedrum - they sure will help keep the pests away! Between them and the mantis' I have lots of extra helping hands/mouths!

Thank you as always for your U&R! :D

Looks like some kind of gecko. I used to love seeing the little baby house geckos scurrying across the wall, so cute! At first I thought their chirps were birds that got into the roof but later found out they were the geckos lol

I think you're right! I see them all over the walls outside the house, I can never get a good photo when they are scurrying off so I was lucky to photograph them this way. I had no idea they chirped, perhaps that's what I am hearing some evenings! I presumed it was wild rabbits but maybe not...

Geckos sure do chirp, some like the Tokay gecko from the Philippines are pretty loud! lol

Sooo...tiny....gaaaaah!! 🤗

Tiny indeed!! I was lucky to photograph them :D

Aww adorable!

Sure is @pyrslx! Thanks for your comment :)
