Hello Steemers!
A couple of months ago the dragonflies were out in full force putting on a beautiful display. Every morning they would pose on the plants around the garden giving me plenty of photo ops. It was harder than I thought it would be to get them fully in focus shooting handheld, but I was happy with these shots I got of a very happy & smiley looking character!

They certainly are fast! It took me plenty of tries to get any decent images. Thankfully it seems they like to return to their favourite spots, as this dragonfly kept coming back :D

Thank you @icedrum - it takes a lot of patience to get these shots right! I always feel I could do better but I am happy with these. Sometimes you have to take a break from photos and come back to them to be able to appreciate them more :D

@gardeningchef - beautiful camera shots of your wonderful dragonfly! I love dragonflies, they are great friends to have for a garden I believe. They eat other bugs that might want to feast on your plants! Good post... upvoted!

I couldn't agree more @wealth4good - I always celebrate seeing dragonflies and mantis' around the garden as they are very helpful allies to have around, not to mention beautiful to watch!
