Fiery Skippers On Pink Zinnia Flowers

My zinnia flowers are currently swamped with these little skippers! They are flitting about, chasing each other, and I am having fun watching them! These fiery skippers are so mean, as won't even allow my common white checkered skipper to stop on just one flower even though I have enough zinnia flowers for all of them.

When two of them share the same flower, they don't stay long and I am lucky enough to get one shot of them together.

Not sure if it is mating time for them, but it is quite pleasant seeing them around. I think I did my part in planting these flowers to feed them and other insects.

The skippers do love your zinnias. I love seeing the butterflies.

Thank you! I love watching them and I am happy when butterflies visit!

Quite colorful little guys. I'm sure they are thankful for you doing your part :)

Thank you! I have my selfish reason: get them to come so I take pictures, :-)

Nice shots .. the second close up is my favorite.

Thank you!

They look so adorable, especially on the beautiful pink Zannia. The perfect moment Icy 🌸💖🌸

I see them all over the place too, but mostly on the grass and leaves and I even took macro of one. It was after rain and maybe he couldn't fly away from me ,lol.

Thank you, Lena! Yes, they are very fast, and if they don't stop for nectar, there is no way I can get a pictures!
