Bonsai is a Japanese art form, it is a cultivating technique of producing trees in a smaller size. Mimicking the size and shape of an ordinary tree but controlling it's size by putting the tree in a smaller container and cutting it's branches.

This is a very short and brief description, but bonsai can not be described as you put it. The tree is not kept small by cutting back the branches and placing it in a small pot. Those are what keeps the tree alive. trees do get repotted into bigger pots ever so often. Bonsai tree get bigger and do not always stay the same size. They are very health trees and can live long due to the fact that the correct horticultural techniques used through out its life like pruning the canopy and the roots.

thank you for a wonderful information that you shared @romanolsamuels. Yes the description is really brief because I'm not that of an expert with bonsai. But as a child my brother grew bonsai at home and that picture is from my brothers garden.. this is actually my second post about bonsai so I didn't dig further. The additional infoRmation is new to me, I appreciate it.. Thank you.. This is the link of my previous post but it's not as informative as you would expect since I think you are an expert with bonsai https://steemit.com/homesteading/@sawi/the-beauty-in-small-trees-bonsai

Better as it states what your brother uses as a reference and does not come over as facts.

Great job👍🏻🤜🏻

Thank you..
