In the first blockbuster deal ahead of the NBA trade deadline, the Sacramento Kings traded DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans for a package that includes Buddy Hield and a 2017 first-round pick.

Boogie has been known to have some baggage. Can you blame the man ? He played in the siberia of the NBA. Ownership of the team changed on him. His coaches have been a revolving door of names.

Boogie saw his talents being wasted. And it showed up in different ways. Either on the floor during a game or after the game in interview comments.

Now that boogie is in the south things for him and the Pelicans should be looking up. Now he is being teamed up with Anthony Davis. Another big man who can move around on the floor and shot. Plus Anthony now can move out of the center position and let Boogie play it. They will remind you of the twin towers of the 80's. Back then the in thing to do was have two huge centers to clog the lane and grab rebounds. But with this duo look for more perimeter scoring to go along with the defense.

Boogie is in da south. He is from Alabama. The homestate can now see their player play on local tv. And his commute to go home is way way way more shorter. A couple of hours drive vs a long flight !

All in all this is a good move for the Pelicans. The buzz will get bigger. And a playoff berth is all but in the bag for the team.
