Kevin Durant’s Ejections & My Apology To Markelle Fultz

in nba •  7 years ago

Kevin Durant now has the most ejections in a single season (5) in the past 25 years, trailing the one and only Rasheed Wallace. Sheed was ejected seven times in a season twice in his career, because the ball don’t lie.

Whats the deal KD?! Draymond must be rubbing off on you. I won’t put this all on Durant, since NBA officiating has been under a microscope all year. Even Lebron James was ejected for the first time in his career this season.

But I do believe that KD has thin skin. He was exposed this past summer for using a burner twitter account to argue with fans on Twitter. Really……One of the greatest players of all time, a shoe in for the Hall of Fame, gets upset when people on Twitter, literally a cest pool for Trolling, call him a snake.

Yesterday he claimed it was just his desire to win another championship, but KD was ejected ONCE, I repeat ONCE, in his first 10 NBA Seasons. And now 5 in a year, that is a bit weird. Hopefully theres nothing going on in his personal life thats got him on edge.

As for Markelle Fultz, I posted an article earlier this year,

https://steemit.com/basketball/@toddcast/the-2017-rookie-class-and-why-fultz-will-go-down-as-the-biggest-bust-in-nba-history

As you can read I essentially said that this draft class is going to be top 4 (1996, 2003, 1984) for the greatest of all time, and it continues to look that way. This Rookie class is incredible, loaded with future all stars & hall of famers. But I will admit I was a little harsh on the 19 year old. In his three games back he still hasn’t done anything to prove he can actually shoot the ball, but boy has he had impressive moments.

He has hit circus layups, dunked all over a Hawks player, and made some really impressive passes. In this loaded draft class, I suppose I should have realized the talent to be first overall must have meant he had some special qualities.

I am happy for the kid and apologize for berating him, although I won’t let him off that easy. In his first game back, during the postgame he literally refused to answer any questions about his injury. You really didn’t think someone was going to ask you about that Markelle? Quite frankly the media has been way to nice about it this entire year, you should have been getting absolutely crushed!!! You can thank Lavar Ball for drawing all the attention away from whatever the heck happened to you.

Instead of maturely saying “You know guys I would really like to just focus on my future and not talk about that”, he literally refused to answer the question, and gave reporters the silent treatment. Thats not a great way to get off on the right foot with Philadelphia media, and you better hope you live up to all the hype, because after the way you tried to embarrass them, as if they were wrong for asking the question, they might not be so nice to you if you start playing poorly.
