[NBA] Paul Millsap to Denver Nuggets for 3years 90M deal!

in nba •  8 years ago

NBA changes so quickly and even if it means you are the number 1 seed few years ago.

CBS sports posted a picture on their instagram account regarding the starting lineup of Atlanta Hawks during NBA season of 2014-2015. And funny is that after Millsap signs with Nuggets, the whole starting 5 are gone!

Where are they?

Al Horford - Boston Celtics
DeMarre Carroll - Toronto Raptors
Jeff Teague - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kyle Korver - Cleveland Cavaliers
Paul Millsap - Denver Nuggets

Things just happen so fast nowadays in NBA. One day you are a number 1 seed, the other day you may be gone~

Nice! You have followed their instagram!

Yes linus lee, nowaday nba news come and go so quickly, i need to follow so many people in twitter and player instragam to get the first hand news. I do hope there are more efficient way to get the information but now i just need to scroll through those 1 by 1 :(.

Damn! good signing by the Nugs but they aren't gonna do anything in the West idk why they waste the money

Yeah i think this is exactly why suns pulled out to the deal and not to go with it. Paul millsap is not young and 3 years 30m means that denver better to go deep in playoff and otherwise they may have another 3 lost years. Hard to readjust the team after this kind of mega signing.

Hello boy, all tradings ,nba atm.looking really interesting 🙂

Yeah it is probably the best time to go into NBA when you team just had a losing season, and it gives me hope to see the rookie and trade and stuff. But so far, my team did not do anything yet and now i am putting my hope in the summer league and i hope they do well.

What 90 Million

Millsap is a nice addition, although I'm not sure what the Nuggets long term plans are. They clearly won't be able to do much damage in the West--even with Millsap--so I'm little surprised about the signing.

The offseason has been one of the best in years. I'm really excited about the fresh blood around the league and especially about the Wolves. I think they are going to be great!

Yeah wolves is quick on clearing what dont work for them and replace them immediately. So i have alot of respect for them and their coach. I feel the reason they invest in millsap because they think they are good enough to fight for a playoff spot in west. Otherwise there is no pt signing a overpriced vet.

Yeah, Thibs is a boss haha. With Gibson and Butler in the fold, his system will be much easier to implement and teach to Wiggins, Towns, etc.

But yeah you're probably right. Ultimately, its not bad business to be fighting for a playoff spot, especially if you got a good chance to make it (lots of money to be made off of 2 home playoff games). Not everybody can be a superteam.

Yeah i guess this is NBA now, there are only this few tier 1 star and you cannot just tank every season so some team will just pull the trigger but some team remains the bottom of the pack and hoping one day they could be..(see 76ers). I have never really like lavine but giving up rubio is pity.

You're exactly right. The 76ers might be really really good in 2 years, depending on health obviously. It's almost starting to see like theres a curse in Philly with all of these lottery picks getting injured. I'm rooting for Joel!

Agreed on Lavigne--and who knows what he'll look like coming back from that ACL injury. However, I was never a fan of rubio considering he lacked the ability to space the floor and facilitate the offense in crunch time. Teague helps that a bit, and can hit the 3 at a far better rate.

We'll see how it goes, but they are on the up and up. Enjoyed reading your post, keep 'em coming!

Thanks man and thank you for your supporting. It seems like we have some really great people have so much understanding of NBA to have more meaningful discussion and maybe a little reward competition in future. Just a way to reward you guys for continue support, but i am brainstorming now. Hehe.

What are all NBA players sellouts. This is actually one of the reasons why I'm turned off my personal sports at times

Yeah exactly. This is the real problem about the NBA, golden state is able to pull of a super team and sign other vet in minimum and so as the cavs and ofcourse the rockets now. You can see golden state almost wins the champ in 16-0, what is the fun of you are other team fans :(.

Yeah but they still have the one german kid. : |

But seriously, why did the Nugs pay so much for Millsap. And why didn't they trade away Mudiay for a new soda machine? So many questions.

Yeah since they decided to trade away jeff teague, theu have decided to build around the german kid. Too bad dwight howard doesnt work out with them. And i think millsap got a really good offer, denver has good young player in jamal murray. They did try to offer mudiary+pick for eric bledsoe, but suns turned down it the final second.

Right, I read all that, but I still think Mudiay is worth a cold bucket of paint thinners.

BTW, did you hear Nick Young signed with the Warriors?

I think mudiay can exchange for brandon knight if the nuggests dont mind, just to tell the luck for both team :). Yeah i saw green post in snap chat that it seems like they are getting nick young. Problem is that whether nick young will give up money to play there.

East gets worse and worse.. Butler, PG and Millsap...
Just hope Giannis stays in the East getting better and better.. to be the NBA's face after James retires

Yes but when you look at this year playoff, even the west is the better conference, golden state is still far ahead the better team. But the east is just even worse, i feel the cavs didnt even try to reach the nba final but only get distroyed by GSW. I hope the league could be more competitive next season :(.

Will not happen, almost every good team in the West could play in the Eastern conference finals, while the best teams from the East would barely make it to the playoffs in the West... except the Cavs obv

Yeah, that is sad and now with bulter and paul george moving to the west coast, it just seem more one sided than ever. I always joke to my friend that instead of giving them a better pick for the worse team ,they should be given option to switch to play to the east and you may surprise about lakers and suns record. :)

What 90 Million , unbelievable

3rd year team option, though. Perhaps a bit overpaid in a vacuum but good fit alongside Jokic, and DEN clearly in win now mode despite the ever tougher western conference.

o lawd, ain't no body going to stop dem now!

Excellent.....

Good Team
