Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks was named the league's Most Improved Player for 2016-17 at the NBA Awards show on Monday.

Antetokounmpo emerged as one of the league's most mesmerizing players in 2016-17, averaging 22.9 points 8.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game for the Bucks last season. He made marked improvement across the board from his third year in the NBA in 2015-16 and proved game-in and game-out why he's earned the nickname of "The Greek Freak." giannis_antetokounmpo_.jpg

In his fourth NBA season, Antetokounmpo led the Bucks to a 6-seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs before bowing out to the Toronto Raptors in the first round. On the whole, though, he made massive strides in his game—both figuratively and literally—to land the MIP honors.
