The number two team in the nation has devastated an already demoralized Florida State team, giving them thier worst loss at home in school history. The game started off slow as the Seminole defense was able to keep Clemson from putting up points in the first quarter, but adjustments were made and the Tigers found their groove during the 2nd and 3rd quarter. The stars of the game were Clemson's defensive front seven who dominated the Seminole's offensive line, allowing Clemson's defense to rack up a total of 14 tackles for loss and 5 sacks. FSU starting quarterback Deondre Francois left the game in the second half after getting drilled repeatedly. The Tigers offense ended up with 524 total yards, 404 through the air, and 120 yards on the ground.
Trevor Lawrence set a career high of 314 passing yards going 20/37 with four touchdowns. Travis Etienne had 10 carries for 45 yards. Sophmore wideout Amari Rodgers had 6 receptions for 156 yards and two touchdowns and Diondre Overton had 2 catches for 75 yards. Tee Higgins had 6 catches for 62 yards and two touchdowns.
The Clemson Tigers will play Louisville next week.
