Hello Dear Steemians from around the Globe!

My friends´ circle has mentioned to me that today is needlework Monday... I am sharing here the images of some of the quilts I made, simply to give inspirations to those who wanted to start making projects like these. It will take a bit of time to patch together the top quilt...then comes the batting and the back cloth which should be secured properly.

I have collected quite a few including small projects such as the pillowcases above. They were all hand quilted and were made from fabrics scraps. I quilted them by hand during movie streamings at home.

The Blue and White Sampler quilt above was my birthday gift to my husband and is now hanging in our 2nd house in Spain.Sometimes I use it as a bedspread too.

Lastly, this was my first quilt that was finished some 20 years back... I can´t remember the exact number of years.. I only knew I have collected the fabric scraps and decided to do a Dresden Plate. Dresden is a city in Germany where the famous Dresden Porcelain factory is located. Right now, I still have two WIPs (work-in-progress) that are meant to become bedspreads or seat covers.

I hope your are enjoying your day whatever you are doing.... Spread the love!

Such beautiful projects! My mother and my grandmother and my great-grandmother were all Quilters and I have lovely projects created by all of them. I made one attempt. It sat in a box in the closet for 10 years and was never completed. I finally gave it away to a seamstress who was going to finish it and offer it in to a raffle to raise money for Hospice. You are very talented!

Thank you dear... that was a good idea you gave the project to a seamstress for the hospice! My other quilt tops were already sitting for so long and couldn´t finish it yet.. Yeah, I like to do things with my hand and I enjoy it... Wishing you a bright Tuesday! Thanks too for the lovely comments.. It´s always nice to hear from you. Cheers!

It seems I always did handicrafts while watching TV in the evening. Then I quit watching TV. And it seems that any projects that I enjoyed got stuffed away in drawers and after years had passed I just never got back to them. Computer time probably took the place of TV time, and you can't crochet while you're typing!

Beautiful quilts. Art work that keeps you warm on the outside as well as in :-)

Indeed, you are right! Thanks for visiting and kisses to all your cats..

Your quilt work is very beautiful! I love all of the designs you show here. I grew up watching my mother quilt so I know how long it takes and how much work is put into it! I like to stream movies as I work too ;)
