Needlework Monday - Where Is My Mind?

in needleworkmonday •  7 years ago

I'm happy as hell to be doing some embroidery again and to share it with all of you.

I'm not sure how this came up, probably due to the fact I've been stressed as hell for the last couple of days, and my brain feels like it's all tangled up in a complicated knot of, well, rainbows apparently.

And since @crystalize was kind enough to leave a comment in one of my older posts about embroidery to let me know @crosheille has made an initiative here on Steemit to spread needlework art and get it displayed on the platform, I knew I needed to get back to my needles again.

From sewing, and knitting to crocheting, every crafter here on Steemit is welcomed to share their work, and under the hashtag #NeedleworkMonday. This is my first entry.

I invite you all to spread the word and join this growing community of crafters here on Steemit so we can inspire each other and, hopefully, create more art in the process.

I'm in love with your piece, @agsttne! It is so incredibly cute and expresses the way we all feel sometimes. So creative! It is a delight to seee you posting in #NeedleworkMonday and I can't wait to see more of your work.

Aww, thank you so much for your comment! I'm so glad you liked it and honestly, I absolutely adore this project you put together so thank you for that too. I'm so excited about it I already posted my entry for today ❤️

All the credit goes to @cosheille! She is the originator of the initiative and has been at it for some time. I just hopped-in to help! I saw, upvoted and resteemed your lovely submission for today. So glad to have you here.

Oh my goodness this is so cute!! So you just did this at the top of your head? Do you have to use patterns? I really love it. I love the wording and the colors you used to represent you can’t find your mind at the moment! 😄 Welcome aboard to #NeedleworkMonday it’s so good to have you. Thank you so much for sharing with us today and spreading the word. I’m really excited about our Mondays growing and more and more people are being inspired!!! 😃

Thank you so much!! I loooove your initiative! I don't use premade patterns, I kind of go with the flow, but I do make small imperceptible guides for me to follow, so I don't end up ruin whatever it is that I have in mind for the embroidery.

I also try to draw the design on paper before grabbing the needle so I can visualize it better and I can use that as a guide as well.

I'm so excited about this project, and honestly, I can't wait to start working on my post for next Monday. Thank you! ❤️

You are so welcome! Thank you, I am so glad you love the initiative and decided to join in on the fun and share your creativity!! That is so awesome how you do this. I think it is really neat that you can draw out a picture and put it together with needle and thread. Posts like these are exactly why I wanted us all to come together and inspire each other. I’m looking forward to seeing your next Monday post!! Yay!!! 😃😉

@agsttne

Thank you so much!

That's creative...and certainly something I can relate to. I find that needle projects help me get my mind back together again...don't you?

I feel the same way! Thank you so much for stopping by :)

Wow this is beautiful!! Very expressive. Love your work.

This is great! Love the idea of using how you're feeling at the time and using it for inspiration. At first I thought it was her hair and that even works. Awesome!
