Last week I sewed a pant for my daughter for autumn and winter. I picked fabric with flower print as it seems like she likes flowers. She shouts "Hanya hanya" (hana means flower in Japanese) on street when she find some. She also likes my pajama pant with rose print ;)

Yes, some of you may know I enjoy making her pants from last year ...

Harem Pants after Pullover /

This is the 6th pant I make for her. I used the same pattern as I used last year. I bought it from Etsy. It turned out to be a good investment :)

This time I made small changes so that the pant looks like less baby-ish. There is no lib on the hem and front side pockets were added. I left the waist lib as it is as my daughter has a large tummy after a meal. Comfort first.

It was interesting to learn how to make a jeans style pocket. The inner fabric is leftover from my summer dress ;)

It was a good exercise before trying my pant. I've been working on a jeans reverse engineering project since last month.

Jeans parts

Finally I finished making master pattern out of the parts last weekend.

Now it's time to make my own pant for upcoming season :) Happy Needlework Monday!

Those are such cute flower pants! Love the added pockets! I see your baby loves that purse you dressed up! 😃

It’s neat that you can use that same pattern over and over again and just change it up!

It looks like your pant project is coming along...you’ve been busy!!

Thank you needleworkmonday! Ja she likes to have what I have ;) I look forward to sharing the result of my pant reverse engineering project to #needleworkmonday community.

Totally cute and practical, @akipponn! I love the fabric design too and the bag your daughter's carrying :D

Thank you cryptocariad! The bag was mine (remodeled an Albanian bag) but she likes and even brings to nursery. Seems happy to mimic adults :D

Those pants are gorgeous, and a perfect fit. Good luck with the jeans!

Thank you Shanibeer. I try my best with my pant. Last time I sew one for me was more than 10 years ago and I wasn't satisfied with the result ... It will be a good challenge after long while :)

The pants are so cute @akipponn! With jeans like pockets! You are really talented!

Flattering marblely. I learned how to do it when I was breaking my jeans into parts :) But it's simply nice to know how things work.

Yes yes, I agree! It is really nice to know how things work and how different pieces make up something :)

Hi. How nice and original the pants are. Good thing you used recycling for your pocket. Greetings

Thank you jicrochet :) Ja and it's somehow I had to as my leftover fabric box is now almost exploding ... :D

Lovely pants for your daughter. I like the fabric - flowers but with autumn colours. Just yesterday I saw pants in a similar style in a German language post - it seems to be great for children, they can move well but the pants stay on :)

That's right. I didn't think about it but the fabric has autumn brown-ish taste. To use striped pattern fabric for Bundchen is a good idea. It's really cute. I must try this. Thank you for sharing the link :)

Those are some cute pants! Thanks for sharing! The flower pants are just adorable!!

Thank you apanamamama :)

Needlework Tuesday

wonderful pants for baby !!!! you choose a beautiful fabric.

Thank you tali72! I like the fabric too and think about making mine with similar style fabric :)

These pants are so cute! I agree, great pattern. But I am so intrigued by your deconstructing jeans post! I have thought about trying to make my own but I don't have an overlock. I'm curious how your future pants turn out!

I don't have an overlock ... I try with zigzag stitches my home use sewing machine makes :D We'll see how it works.
