The new rugs are ready and the loom on it's way for a new project!
If you don't know what I am talking about then you have, for sure, missed last Monday's post, where I introduced you to my partner and her loom!
If you don't have the time to go here and read all about it, I can tell you in short that the first wefts created in our new home, are 3 rugs made out of old cloth stripes.
At the end of last week's post the first rug was almost ready but still on the loom. Now all three of them are ready and as promised, its time to share the pictures of the rest of the weaving and of course, the final product!

All three rugs are wonderful. I especially love the little specks of color, the green or pink... wow. This makes your rugs so special and unique. The loom looks really impressive, I have never worked on such a big one 😮😮😮 (honestly, I only tried to weave once with a handmade cardboard loom.... the project idea, which I got from a Japanese book was lovely, but I am much too impatient 😂)

Haha yes, the frame looms require a lot of patient! The larger the loom, the bigger the result with every single stroke. Maybe you should take a very large loom, after all :)

A fantastic way to recycle old fabrics. Love the blue with the neutral shades. And the rug with the paler blue-grey shades is superb ~ Like the ocean on an overcast day. The three will look wonderful together in your new home. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

I like this technique because, apart from recycling (which is super), it also introduces randomness in the pattern and usually I like it!
