Needleworkmonday - July 8, 2019 cross stitch progress

in needleworkmonday •  5 years ago

We went on a road-trip last weekend to visit my family and do a little geocaching.

In Craig, MT we visited the local cemetery and I noticed that someone had yarn bombed a tire at the gate. It was acting as a bumper at the cattle guard and was quite pretty with the Yucca plant blooming next to it.

I did some cross stitch on the drive home, it was a relaxing thing to do while being a passenger and listening to a book on Audible. My Star Wars themed clean/dirty sign is coming along nicely.

Tonight we met some friends for dinner and then came home to play skyrim and catch up on the internet. I have been so busy with work, I have very little time to check stuff online. :)

The cats are happy to have us home-

Nice pictures. Your kitty looks content, too. Take some time to relax!

Thank you! I will relax sometime in September... Summer is my crazy season at work. :)

Sounds like a relaxing time 😎 The yarn bombed bumper tyre was interesting!

It was nice, thank you!

I love the first photo with the crochet and the wide open landscape. The intricate crochet is such a contrast to the grassland and although it has a more practical use, it reminds me of a kind of memorial place.
I hope you will get a bit of relaxing time!

It was definitely eye catching and a cool contrast. Glad you liked it too!

Tiger was certainly happy leaning against me while I played Skyrim.

That yarn bombing is such a beautiful idea - always catches my eye :)))
And to see a beautifully crocheted cover like this in the middle of nowhere is just a delight!

Love your embroidered cloth, a really thoughtful ouch for a Star War fan's home :)))
