The dishrag was completed on Friday so I started my new project! A Clean/Dirty sign for our dishwasher.
I made decent progress on my flight home Friday and then my flight to Hartford, CT on Sunday.
The view over Illinois was quite pretty-
I am happy with the design, I forgot to grab the Blue thread for the Clean side, might have to go shopping on Friday before I head home. :)
The training center I am using this week is the old Colt Armory building. It is full of interesting architecture.
And a neat old piece of equipment, I think it was a metal press for die cutting pieces-
Heading to dinner now, looking forward to the walk across a cool bridge to the downtown.
Happy #needleworkmonday!
Hehe this is a very cute Star Wars sign for your dishwasher. Where did you find the pattern?

The onion dome looks amazing! I hope your schooling rooms had comparable interesting architecture <3
And the dishwasher cross stitch has a nerdy chic I really love. And to be honest I also would love to have a dish washer where it isn't instantly noticeable if it is dirty. To explain: or flat is in an old house from roughly 1900 and the plumbing is - ahem - dubious. If we don’t use water in the dish washer every day it stinks appalling. No doubt about it being dirty. We already had a plumber to help, but the plumbing is installed in several 90-degree angle which causes the bad drain. And the plumbing is too small...
But back to your cross stitch: love it

What a fun sign to make!
but wait, did you say you were working on the flight? How did you smuggle the needles in?

Smuggle? Needles are perfectly legal to have on flights in the US. As are small scissors. I knit on flights all the time.
You can check restrictions for crafting items by googling them and the country you are flying to/ from to be sure of exactly what is allowed.
I fly with my small crane scissors and knitting and crochet needles all the time. Cross stitch needles are smaller and perfectly acceptable in the US and most of Europe is my understanding.

My small manicure scissors were taken off me, so I presume all sharp items are a no no on flights. But I suppose I'd have to check the regulations, would be great to be able to crochet on a flight, like you do:-)

It depends on the country and airline. In the USA needles, hooks, and ultra short scissors are allowed. But International flights will warn you that you need to plan on not being able to fly home with them in carry on luggage.
