Progress on My Crocheted Cowl

in needleworkmonday •  5 years ago

After I finished crocheting my hat, I still had a ball of yarn left over so I decided to make a cowl. At first, I considered making some wrist warmers with the remaining yard but I was not sure if I would have enough to make two. The towel is a safer bet because I can’t keep crocheting until none of the yarn is left.

I have been busy this week as my strength has been coming back to me. Hi handpainted a couple of beverages on a T-shirt and a sweatshirt, and I also glazed five different items for my kiln.

The kiln should be cool enough this afternoon for me to determine how the pieces came out once I open it.

I need to finish this towel because I plan to go back to my classes starting tomorrow. I am no longer coughing nor am I feverish.

I am still taking it easy and I have been keeping myself away from other people so that I don’t transmit my flu to them. Enough time has passed so that I should not be contagious any more.

Crocheting can be be very relaxing, especially when you don’t have a lot of strength.

Enjoy your day.

Good to hear you are better especially if you had a flu, I remember how exhausting this is. And I am amazed how creative and industrious you were although feeling unwell.
I just now hopped to your blog post about the ceramic you are working on and I am soooo curious how it will turn out. I love glazes and their amazing finish, but I never used one myself. This is high on my to learn list.

Working with clay on a pottery wheel and creating interesting pieces is my new love. I am fascinated with the outcomes. You should try it. 😊

I want, believe me, but its expensive here as you only can do this at commercial shops which charge you for the kiln and you are not allowed to use your own glaze.
