Greetings to all of our creative needle artists and lovely supporters! We welcome you to @needleworkmonday’s Featured Posts #66!

This is a weekly Curation showcasing the needlework of our very own Steemians. Every Monday we get together to share our love and passion for the needle arts using the #needleworkmonday tag. On all other days we use the #needlework tag. We enjoy each other’s creations, ideas, patterns, tips and shortcuts.

We strive to bring to you great quality work filled with tutorials and inspiration. Please help us keep these wonderful needle arts alive and thriving by supporting our creative work and community!

We had such a great week of participation with so many wonderful projects shared. I wish I could feature them all but this would be a pretty long curation with 17 entries submitted. We are expecting to see quite a bit of participation in the coming weeks with the weather getting colder and the nights getting longer.

Twenty five! by @fotostef

Here is another remarkable project from Fotini that is distinctively exceptional! The jute yarn gives it so much texture and character along with the colors of the triangles. We love the magical process photos taken by @fotostef as it places us right in the room with her as she works. This post makes you appreciate the detailed work of craftsmanship.

#needleworkmonday :: A week of mending... by @marblely

Do you have pieces of clothing that need some mending? Do you put it off and procrastinate for weeks, months or years at a time? This is surely a dreaded task for many. In this post @marblely shares how she mended 3 pieces of clothing last week. I love the tips she gives and the techniques she used. She also includes two stitch videos for your reference.

HANDMADE MACRAME #needleworkmonday by @brittandjosie

The art of Macramé never ceases to amaze me! I love the look of the cords that are used in this craft. This lovely work you see is made by @brittandjosie’s friend. You can see that her macramé skills are amazing! She makes a range of items from keychains to plant holders and all of her items are made with 100% recycled cotton!

NeedleworkMonday: My "Tool Box" / Meine "Werkzeugkiste" [Ger/Eng] by @muscara

All needlework art requires tools to accomplish your craft. Most knitters and crocheters have a notions bag to keep their tools and supplies in. If you don’t want to always carry around a big bag you can go for @muscara’s idea and keep some of your needed tools in a small plastic box. She gives us a peak inside of what’s in her box and explains what some of those tools are used for.

Blanket to neck warmer / 毛布からネックウォーマーへ by @akipponn

Did you know you can cut a knitted garment then sew it into something else? That is what @akipponn did with her daughter’s baby blanket. She revived it into a neckwarmer. I think this is so special that she was able to save a special piece that was given to her daughter and give it more years of use. Just brilliant!

I am in love with the Mira Dress from Fibremood – and I made it myself by @neumannsalva

We here in the @needleworkmonday community have gotten to know @neumannsalva and her style pretty well. Week after week she makes us laugh even amongst sharing about her mistakes and failures.

Several times she has made a garment that ended up not so loved by her. The sleeves may be constructed improperly, it may be too small and just have other commons errors. Well not this time! We are so proud and excited for her that she made this lovely Mira dress and absolutely loves it!

We love supporting and encouraging one another here, especially when a wonderful accomplishment is made. So I had to make this special feature to say:

Congratulations on a job well done and a beautiful finished dress @neumannsalva! Whooo Hooo! 🎉🥳

Lots of great work. I especially liked the neck warmer.

Thank you so much for your support :)

Oh nooooo I am so late!!!! I and I am so sorry for commenting only now. This week there were so man amazing projects (and I mean 'many'... finally there are more posts, which makes me really happy), I did not manage to comment on all. And I am sad, that I read your wonderful curation post, but somehow forgot to answer. Shame on me! Thank you so much for including my victory post (I already have washed the dress two times, as I wear it often). I am so happy you are holding this community together and I am grateful for your encouragement.
I send big hugs <3

Some great macramé skills here especially those plant holders a brilliant idea which can of course be used to hold other things.

I couldn’t agree more! It’s a very versatile craft.

There is no doubt that art is expressed through weaving. All the works are very interesting and innovative.

It absolutely is! There’s quite a beauty to it. Your work this week was very innovative as well. Thank you for sharing your awesome creations with us!
