My simple (inverted) snowflake hat.

in needleworkmonday •  6 years ago

I have been looking at this pattern forever and decided to jump in with some wool I dyed. Classic me I inverted the colors and was to stubborn to pull out and restart. I still love the result. It really was enjoyable working this hat up. I used lion brand fisherman's wool for both yarns with the blue being some of the oatmeal color that I dyed. A little bit of fulling when done and I have a very nice basic colorwork hat. That my wife has just claimed.

Great pattern - looks good, especially with the blue yarn in its slightly different shades. I don't like doing fair-isle knitting (actually I prefer double knitting) but I admire the work of those wo have mastered the technique. With being made of two yarns the hat should keep your head warm :)
