Needleworkmonday- Christmas Accessories - Elf Hats and Booties 🧶🧶🧶

in needleworkmonday •  5 years ago  (edited)

Christmas season is a wonderful time to get creative, especially when it comes to needle work. Santa hats are so much in! I stumbled on some cool patterns and I decided to try to make something a little different: elf hats and booties.

Let me tell you... I had a lot of fun making them while watching Christmas movies on Hallmark channel with one eye 😊

I had a little helper too... well, she just kept me entertained to be honest...

So... here are some of my creations. I started with a dwarf type of hat for a baby. Then I made some booties... I loved how they came out and I ended up making a matching hat, elf hat, with ears!!!

Here is the first hat:

Here is the elf hat with ears. OMG I laughed so much when I made those ears, I couldn’t figure them out! I stitched so much yarn, but it was well worth it, they came out adorable... more like pig ears lol...

Hope you like my little Christmas goodies, hope you guys get inspired to make something nice with your hands and give them to your loved ones on such a special holiday.

Oh my goodness look at those booties, they’re so adorable! Lol you made me laugh when you said pig ears! 😄 I think both hats turned out adorable.

Kudos to you for continuing to crochet and take on these fun patterns! It will inspire others to give it a try. Keep up the great work ~ ❤️

Thank you. I have some free time in my hands at this moment, so I am giving it a try. It is fun to crochet and knit, but I must constantly count stitches, so my brain doesn’t really relax, like when I am painting for example, when I let my imagination go wild. But if we think about it, counting all those stitches and following patterns is very good to fight stress and anxiety, because you concentrate on something else, and get rid of racing, bad thoughts.

Those are awesome. So is your quality control inspector 😻

My kitty is so full of energy. I’m wondering if she will slow down when she grows. I can’t keep up with her lol.

Your cat 😍😍😍😍😍 So lovely, she (or he) has such a beautiful face and looks so soft and fluffy. I imagine this to be the best help. ANd all of your creations are wonderful. But you are right the hat with the elf ears is cute, funny and special at the same time. Will you give them away as presents?

Those hats are so cute that the little kitty felt in love with them. Fantastic work! 😁
