Crocheted pot handles are easy to make and there are a lot of figures such as fruits, vegetables, animal faces among others. They are also used to decorate the kitchen. The size and measurements depend on your taste. This is an alternative to give away or to use in your kitchen.

I want to show you how I made a crocheted pot holder in the shape of a lemon.

In this case I used wool yarn, but you can also use crochet yarn. In light green color we start with a magic ring with 6 low stitches making spiral weave, for the next turn we make an increase in each stitch, that is two low stitches in the same stitch to finish with 12 stitches. In the next round, make a low stitch and a raise until you finish, closing with 18 stitches. Now I make two low points and a raise, we repeat until finishing the lap. For the next 3 low points and a raise, on the next lap 4 low points and a raise.

This way, using the previous procedure, we make the missing turns, until you have the desired shape. For the last two rounds in the center before the center I knitted two half high stitches, 2 high stitches, two double high stitches (these stitches being in the center), two high stitches and two half high stitches and we continue with the low stitches. For the next round, where the previous stitches were made, we weave half high stitches and for the rest we weave low stitches.

We must make two so that it is thicker and we do not burn, in both we finish with a turn in dark green color, see the following image:

We made a flower with some leaves, in a web page I got a pattern to make a leaf. We placed the flower and the leaves on the front of the pot holder with a wool needle.

Then we put the two pieces together and finished this nice pot holder.
