Our neighbor matters or not: The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously. Psalm 37:21

Psalm 37 teaches us that there are two attitudes towards our neighbor, one of respect and the other of contempt, our neighbor matters or not: "The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously" Psalm 37:21.
The Bible calls us to give generously with joy, to be benevolent or kind, and to act according to ethical principles in front of our brothers, in the book of Tobit we find a form of the golden rule: "Do to no one what you yourself hate" Tobit 4:15. Because this is what pleases God and what goes according to the ethical laws of the universe, as for example the law of sowing and reaping: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows" Galatians 6:7.
We act as fools or as wise, that is the choice that the Bible puts before us, we are edifying or are we chaotic and destructive, as the Psalm 1, the Psalm of the two ways explains to us with wisdom.
The Psalm 37 also explains that with our dealing with others comes beatitude or misfortune:
"Turn from evil and do good;
then you will dwell in the land forever.
For the LORD loves the just
and will not forsake his faithful ones" Psalm 37:27-28.
Inheriting the land tells us the psalm, that is the blessing that awaits those who are kind to their neighbor. When the people of Israel were nomads and walked with Moses, life was difficult, hard, with few moments of happiness; but when they received the land all change, they were able to sow and reap the fruit of their labor, they were able to build the house of the Lord, and thus they were able to enjoy abundance and prosperity.
This is the change the Lord wants us to make, from a heart that only looks at his own benefit to a heart that also looks at the needs of our neighbor, man cannot live alone, but lives within a community; and if we make the right choice, as Israel did with Moses, we too are going to receive the most excellent of blessings.
