My Neighborhood Watch #87 - Reporting Events Around us

Hello and greetings everyone, it's pleasure for me to participate in this week #87 of this amazing contest usually organized by @xkool24 titled; My Neighborhood Watch - Reporting Events Around us

For a long time now there is always a hold up along Nike lake road in Enugu state Nigeria due to the small and busy road as well as the population of different vehicles and tankers that is always passing through that road most especially in the morning when most people are going to work and in the evening/night when they are returning back from their various destination, sometimes this hold up normally last for more than one or two hour before they find a way to sort it out because the more the traffic officer try their best to control it the worst it becomes due some drmsenseless, reckless and annoying drivers, the worst part of it is that sometimes accident usually occurs there often when some drivers are trying to man over their way out.

Last year towards November when the deputy governor Ifeanyi Ossai who has served as the deputy governor of Enugu State since 2023 was passing with his convoy along the Nike road am talking about there was a serious hold up that kept them waiting for so long before there succeeded to pass through, so after this incident message and news was going around that the government of Enugu state want to reconstruct the road and rebuilding it in double lane to avoid traffic congestion that always occurs.
So they gave the owners of shops and houses along the roadside some time to vacate and park out from there which some obeyed and most of them refuse thinking the construction is not going to take place anytime soon because the government already have so many projects at hand.

So unfortunately for them yesterday been it 13 February some demolition workers came with caterpillar and destroy most shops and houses along the road side in Nike lake without even waiting for anybody to park out because they gave them quite notice earlier but most of them refuse thinking it all rumors.

The worst part of it is that even some banks that was close to the roadside was also partly demolished so as to pave a way for the road construction, even me myself when i saw this was very surprised the way this caterpillars are busy breaking down buildings and most of the shops owners were crying and pleading with them for another chance move out but it was already too late to cry when the head is already cut off i felt pity for them for the lost they encounter but on the other way round they are the cause of their problem because if that they obeyed and packed out before the deadline they would have prevented and as well avoid the huge lost of many valuable goods but anyways the did has already been done so they just have to move on and think less about it, when all this was going on i was just busy holding my phone to capture everything that happens.
