Yesterday a parade and today some drumming. A group of Taiko drummers came to be part of our little town festival today. I've seen them before in the past and enjoy going so my wife and I went again today. The drummers put on a good performance, get the crowd involved and everyone has a fun time. As an added bonus there were three kids dancing in front of us which was also entertaining.
There was also a small market that we walked through and a little kids penny fair. The market was pretty disappointing, filled with MLM scams and a few scattered decent stalls. Our only purchase was some homemade salted caramel candies. We didn't even really look at anything else. I like all the local and handmade stuff at the market but slowly over time the local markets have been getting invaded my Multi-Level Marketing garbage.
After the market we took my nephew into the penny fair. Every kid who shows up, gets a little bag filled with tokens that they could use to play games, get some snacks, and go in a few different bouncy castles. It was a cute little fair and my nephew had a blast. Was only a few hours but overall a very fun day.
