The warrior of the white veils in the temple of the liquid emerald.
For many centuries wise men from different planets had as one of their obsessions, which are many, the desire to know how the Warriors of the White Veil are fed or how they are kept alive in some way.
Since corpses have never been found as a result of their war incursions, many have speculated that this was their way of feeding, eating the mortal remains of those who perished under the precise fury of their thorny birch branch from the peaks. From the beginning, philosophers such as Dajer Ib Arremidás and others were not very convinced by this explanation, among other reasons because it is well known that the flesh or other tissues or fluids of many of the peoples fought by the Warriors of the White Veil are highly poisonous and in some cases it is enough to inhale the smell of their bodies decomposing to succumb to their high toxicity.
The version given by Salesis Von Kluns, according to which these warriors of the translucent veils did not consume any type of food or ingest any liquid, never had much support among the connoisseurs. Suffice it to know that it was presented during the Synod of the Alemides, during which, I must say, so much nonsense was released through the worlds with the deliberate intention of bringing more confusion to our confused minds in order not to lend it any credibility. It is well known that, despite their lightness, White Veil Warriors are not angelic beings devoid of any materic condition. By simple logical deduction, as all perishable matter cannot have some form of sustenance that is eternal and immutable. It is therefore concluded that the reckless warriors must have some form of food.
By some strange plot of destiny, for many centuries the testimony of the great Alsatian alchemist and historian Derridas Amenoptis remained hidden, in which common sense and an unfailing commitment to the truth find happy union. I have no doubt as to what this chronicler of the 33rd century narrates, point by point. According to his handwriting, after many researches he could be a direct witness of the alimentary ritual of one of these Warriors of the White Veil, who entered, following a complicated ceremonial dance, to the interior of an old temple carved entirely in the limestone rock characteristic of the city of Petra. Inside the sacred building flowed slowly liquid emerald, melted by the heat of the earth, radiating an intense green light throughout the enclosure.
Assimilating, in a kind of photosynthesis that would last several days, the radiation of the emerald was feeding his subtle tissues the warrior who, at the end of the Eucharist and notoriously revitalized, disappeared without leaving a trace by the twists and turns of the desert.
As if it were not enough to believe in the accuracy of the story of Derridas Amenoptis, who never lies, this explanation is corroborated by the fact that the eyes of the Warriors of the White Veil present a flaming green glow that boils inside.
Following the recommendation of the cool friend @juliakponsford who conceiving and curating the interesting contest Art Explosion, and because I love to try different programs and apps, I registered on the free software page http://artbreeder.com to experiment with its different resources for making digital art.
Two of the images generated by the program called my attention to create an illustration that inspired me to create a short story. One suggests a mythical warrior...
... and the other the interior of a temple.
To mixing both images I used a Demo of the PaintTool SAI Ver.1 software, taking advantage of the 31-day free trial period offered by its creators.
To finish the artwork I edited the resulting image with the free software http://firealpaca.com/ You can see the final product at the beginning of this post.
