The most wonderful thing that happened to me this year was when I spent my vacation in my homeland. Spending my time away from a big city was amazingly gave me a good break from all workloads.

Jizan - Jeddah - Oman

Flying Oman Airways from Jeddah KSA for my transit flight going to Oman before coming to Manila, Philippines.

Arriving at Oman International Airport was a very exciting trip. My first-time coming on this place at dawn.

Aerial view, I took a lot of picture for the seek of steemit photography and travel stories.

I wasn't able to take pictures inside the terminal airport. Time was so hectic transferring to another Oman Airways for the Philippines. I saw a notice in immigration that taking pictures is prohibited so I respect.

OMAN TO MANILA, PHILIPPINES

I kept on watching the map and felt so excited about coming back to my homeland.

Delicious foods were being served to us.

Free desert stallion beer so I could sleep well.

Still, the merit of the Christmas season was there. How many Christmas that I was not able to celebrate.

NAIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO DOMESTIC AIRPORT - PANGLAO BOHOL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The giant Christmas Tree in our Domestic Airport changes its light every second/minute. I met my brother and his family. We talked before I check-in for my domestic flight going to my parent's home, my native land, Bohol Philippines. The new airport was already located in Panglao, a noted place around the world for the best tourist spot and beaches.

My home, welcome back to me! My battery was out of charge. I wasn't able to bring a power bank charger.

Before going to my town in Loon, 3 hours from the airport, I went to the hospital in the city of Tagbilaran.

My mother is a dialysis patient. She is also blind due to her diabetes. The last time I saw her, she still able to see me but that time, she only felt my hugs and voice.

At the back of the hospital is the beautiful scenery of the sunset. We passed as went to our home at night already.

Arriving at home, I didn't want to sleep. I invited my sisters, nieces, and nephews going to town and see the beauty of our new developed town plaza. Back 2013, it was devastated by a strong earthquake that made a big damage to our entire community. We were a victim and our house collapsed. I am so grateful that everyone in my family was safe but my grandmother died after six months on that devastation. She was slightly hit by the blocks falling from walls.

I was amazed by the town plaza development and improvement. One thing is missing the old churchyard of old stones.

Monument of our hero Dr.Jose Rizal was still standing. But the Catholic Church made by Spaniards was turned to zero ground. Spanish regime in our town built all this statue of liberty on the top of Rizal monument together with the church.

There is a fountain in front of the monument but was not lighted during my visit.

My town name Loon means in English as mating each other. It is the source of our water from our barangay ends meeting with the seawater.

The best place no other can compare is my barangay where I grew and lived my childhood life up to 17 years old.

The sunrise, .during my last day on my vacation. Before I went away, I visited the seashore and too many pictures.

Reminiscing my childhood, a lot of things I remembered in this place.

When I was a child this place where we enjoyed our Saturdays picking seashells.

Memories that are not easy to forget.

LOON, BOHOL- TUBIGON PORT - CEBU CITY MACTAN AIRPORT - CAGAYAN CITY AIRPORT

Staying for 10 days, with my parents, I need to go to my son in Davao City and I passed by to met my brother in Cebu City.

From our mountain house, I ride single motor going to town for a bus/van going to Tibigon Port.

I was on board on a Fast craft for 30 minutes going to Cebu Port.

The last sunrise in Tibigon Port. It was early morning since I bid farewell to my family at dawn.

We arrived safe in Cebu Port where my brother was waiting supposed to be but because of heavy traffic, I arrived first before they came.

We had our lunch in SM Kuya J. My brother gave a treat that I won't forget.

After lunch, I need to move to the MACTAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT for my next destination.

My mobile phone was out of charge and I wasn't able capturing my touch down at Cagayan Airport.

CAGAYAN AIRPORT - VALENCIA BUKIDNOON - DAVAO DEL NORTE

From Cagayan Airport, I ride a van for a bus going to Valencia Bukidnon where my sister was waiting.

From Valencia Bukidnon, we passed a virgin mountain riding a single motor at 8 pm. I was scared because of the presence of rebels around the mountain but there are a lot of military checkpoints. Six hours of riding a single motorcycle were not a joke. Thank God, it was not raining that night. They said all the night before my arrival was a rainy day and night.

I must return to this place when I retire.

The coldness of the surrounding and the warmth of the people, a "lumad" tribes** give a perfect combination. My sister is teaching here 12 years ago until now. I hope I can buy a farmland here. The temperature is not the same as the neighboring town.

Springwater from the mountain is so clear and clean.

Staying in this place for two days, I moved to my son's family, 4 hours riding a motorcycle from this mountain. My son is living in the city.

The place has a big difference from the mountain that I wanted to stay. Building an eco life in the mountain is better.

I just stayed here for 20 days and went back to Saudi Arabia, my workplace for 22 years.

Before coming back here, we had a birthday party for my sister held in Beach View Mabini, Davao Oriental.

A relaxing beach that I enjoyed my whole day with family.

I visited my Auntie in Toril Davao City. This is the landmark divided by the City and province of Davao del Sur.

Last but not least, I visited the port of Panabo City.

Port of Panabo City where international cargo ship docking here loading banana for export around the world.

This is the sanctuary of crabs, prawns, and milkfish. Fishes here are laying their eggs and no one can go to the seawater without permission.

My final day in Davao!

I need to go leaving again my family. It's a kind of a hard decision in my life but this is how my life I used to be.

Feb 12, my flight going back to Manila from Davao back to Saudi Arabia.

They were leaving me at the airport. My heart hurts, aching so much looking, my son and my grandchildren. Nobody can judge me, many people don't like how it happened to me but I could not resist the truth, we need money, I need to earn for my family.
