Nargokot Sunrise
I took this photograph whilst trekking in Nepal some years ago.
Nargokot is a favourite haunt of tourists who go there specifically to experience a sunrise over the Himalayas. This one was actually one of the easier ones to view as I was able to watch if from my Hotel balcony. 😁
Other sunrises involved getting up really, really early and taking a mini bus to a suitable site. Not so much fun in the very cold light of dawn although the views were, of course, were spectacular!

Amazing landscape. This reminded me of the famous paintings of the artist Nicholas Roerich. He painted a lot of landscapes of the Himalayas. Great shot, @gillianpearce

It really was an incredible experience @d3p0. I am hoping to go back to Nepal one day but there are other places I haven't been yet that I'd like to get to so not sure if I'll make it! 😢
