Section 1 - An End User shall be any individual person, organization, or entity who uses any Platform or Internet Service Provider of which they have no ownership.
While we all might know what defines an End User, it’s possible that some people may not. There can be some confusion due to terms like “partner”, “user”, “associate”, “affiliate”, etc. so I wanted to put in an explanation that ensures that all of those terms fall under the definition of an End User. I feel that plain language is important to avoid potential loopholes or misunderstandings. This will be a common theme throughout the document.
Section 2 - It is the duty of the End User to know and understand the terms of service, conditions, rules, and codes of conduct for every Platform or Internet Service Provider they are using. The End User understands and acknowledges that violation or deviation may result in punitive action from the Platform or Internet Service Provider.
While it might be assumed that this goes without saying, I believe that many people do not really take the effort to actually read the terms of service when the sign up for a Platform or Internet Service Provider. At the end of the day, ignorance of the rules is no excuse. You do check the box when you sign up, so it is your duty to actually read and understand the terms of service that you told the Platform or ISP you read and understand. Otherwise you’re lying to the platform, so if you get in trouble for breaking rules you didn’t read, that’s on you. Protect yourself, and don’t lie when you click that box. Read and understand the rules.
