Net Neutrality, or deregulation of the telecom industry in the U.S., could very well result in ISPs charging extra for an open internet, and throttling or blocking access to anything but the large incumbent websites, who might pay fees to ISPs in individual arrangements in order to speed up the internet for their users.
If ISPs do start charging more for an "open internet", users can start paying for those higher fees by running servers from their homes. They might even make enough money to pay for a VPN, possibly one run on Arcjet itself.
Further, applications or even the Arcjet network itself could make arrangements with ISPs on the behalf of users and developers to subsidize a deregulated internet.
So, if we are successful, there's no need to fear! Why worry when you can develop better technology?
