For almost six years , Apple and Samsung have clashed on a scale almost unprecedented in business history, their "legal" war costing more than a billion dollars and spanning four continents. Beginning with the super-secret project that created the iPhone and the late Steve Jobs’s fury when Samsung "an Apple supplier!" brought out a shockingly similar device, yep you read it right( he was an Apple supplier)
The explanation is long and involved, but my topic is smartphone war , war between two famous smartphones that are Samsung Galaxy S8+ and Apple Iphone 7plus both have their pros and cons and i am gonna discuss about the features of both
Apple Iphone 7 Plus
Samsung Galaxy S8 plus
First of all comparing "Network" of both on which they are based upon :
NETWORK:
Both support 2G,3G,4G networks both have GPRS ( General Packet Radio Service is a packet-switching technology that enables data transfers through cellular networks. It is used for mobile internet, MMS and other data communications. In theory the speed limit of GPRS is 115 kbps, but in most networks it is around 35 kbps. Informally, GPRS is also called 2.5G)both have EDGE ((also known as Enhanced GPRS or EGPRS) is a data system used on top of GSM networks. It provides nearly three times faster speeds than the outdated GPRS system. The theoretical maximum speed is 473 kbps for 8 timeslots but it is typically limited to 135 kbps in order to conserve spectrum resources. Both phone and network must support EDGE, otherwise the phone will revert automatically to GPRS.

iphone 7 plus is slimmer than Galaxy S8+ but weight of S8+ is 173g while of Iphone 7plus is 188g so galaxy s8+ is lighter than iphone 7plus
SIM:
Galaxy S8+ supports both single or dual "nano" SIM but while Iphone 7plus supports single. Next part is about the Display of both
DISPLAY :
Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and 16M colors for Galaxy S8+ while
LED-Backlit IPS LCD touchscreen and 16M colors of Iphone 7plus
SIZE and RESOLUTION:
Size of Galaxy S8+ is 6.2 inches and resolution is 1440x2960(~529 ppi pixel density) on the other side Iphone 7plus has 5.5 inches screen with resolution of 1080x1920 (~401 ppi pixel density ) which is lesser than Galaxy S8+'s
MULTITOUCH:
Both support multitouch
PROTEXTION:
Corning gorilla glass 5 is installed on Samsung Galaxy S8+ for protection , on the other hand,
Ion strengthened glass is installed on Apple Iphone 7 plus for protection
Now moving to the platform part of these smartphones :

Galaxy S8+ has latest android version that is Android 7.0(Nougat) while
Iphone 7plus has iOS 10.0.1 can be upgraded to iOS 10.3.2
CPU:
CPU in Galaxy S8+ is (Octa-core (4x2.3 GHz & 4x1.7 GHz) - EMEA or Octa-core (4x2.35 GHz Kryo & 4x1.9 GHz Kryo) - USA & China) while
Quad-core 2.34 GHz (2x Hurricane + 2x Zephyr) in Iphone 7plus

There's a card slot in Galaxy S8+ but not in Iphone 7plus
Internal memory and RAM of Galaxy S8+ is 64 GB, 4 GB RAM or 128 GB, 6 GB RAM and of Iphone 7plus is 32/128/256 GB, 3 GB RAM

Both have good sound quality
