If you've got the inclincation, a good way to start and help people get to know you is to make a quick introduction post and use the tag "introduceyourself".

Also, a good way to make connections is find some people who share your worldview (@evecab) and (@ura-soul) are 2 that come to mind and see if any of their content is valuable. If so, leave them a comment telling them so and they might send you a thank you! :-)
