I love pole dancing! To be honest, I was never comfortable in gyms, I was always a bit bored, but it is very important to me to have a tight, muscular and flexible body. In pole dancing, you are working with your own weight and gradually gain strength and flexibility. Thanks to that you'll be in great shape while having loads of fun!
Now I would like to dispel three myths about pole dancing which could stop you from becoming a goddess.
First myth: You shouldn’t start if you are overweight
At my studio, we have different levels to help our students.
In level one, you can start with easier movements and spins on the ground. Step by step you will encounter harder exercises but before the first class, your stamina or weight does not matter. You don't need to worry about not being flexible enough and thanks to our stretching class even as an adult you can learn how to do the splits – if you are committed enough and willing to spend time training.
Second myth: Pole dancing is dangerous
As with all sports, the chance of injury cannot be completely excluded, but our highly qualified pole dancing trainers will share their knowledge in a way that ensures your safety and they will always pay close attention to you. Also, our level-system is put in place to make you feel safe and if you think you achieved anything on a particular level then it's time for the level-exam! When you pass it you can learn harder tricks and by that time you will have the necessary strength and flexibility to do so in a safe way.
Third myth: Pole dancers are promiscuous and it's all about sex anyway
Whoever said this I would make them go through a pole dancing lesson to see if they can do it!
There is an enormous amount of work behind learning all the moves on the pole. Girls are not wearing bras and short pants in the classes because it's about sex, they do it because the pole only sticks to bare skin, therefore, most exercises would be impossible to do while wearing long pants and t-shirts.
Of course, as a side effect, you will be astonishingly sexy, but no one will complain about that. :)
What will pole dancing give to you?
• Great shape! Strength and flexibility, a tight body and toned muscles.
• A sense of achievement! It is always a great satisfaction when you master a new move or go up a level.
• Confidence! You will gradually get a better figure, you will move nicer and you will be happier to check yourself out in the mirror, so confidence is an unavoidable side-effect.
• Fun! We listen to fun music throughout our exciting lessons, believe me, you will be addicted to it! It's the best anti-depressant ever.
• Friends! Pole dancing girls are cool, friendly and a lot of them have university diplomas, they speak different languages and pole dancing or stripping is not their job. Most of them are the ‘girl next door' types. Whatever you do you will find your place here and might even get some new friends!

Pole dancing requires so much strength and body control.
