Are bad interviews like really bad dates? I would have to say: yes they are! You maybe wondering why? Right now I'm in between jobs. I'm applying everyday to jobs. Have I ever had a bad date? Yes. The worst one I had should have probably been in a sitcom. The guy ordered everything I did. Kept saying when we were married this and that. Kissed me out of the blue. That was our first and last date needless to say. So how does it feel to apply for a job, and then get a bad interview? I would have to say from my own experience lately, applying for jobs today online feels a lot like a dating site. That may sound funny. If you really think about it though it is very similar. You are asked questions. They can be odd ones too depending on the company. I mean I don't know about you, but I don't really care what you think your spirit animal is. I'd rather know who you are. How loyal or honest you are. I recently had an odd interview experience. I was extremely confidant, and I wasn't nervous at all. The whole time I had this interview the potential employer would not look me in the eye at all. He acted extremely nervous too. It honestly started to feel like a really bad date with him fidgeting across from me. As he nervously jumped from one question to the other, I got the feeling I'd be okay not working for him. Did I get the job? No I didn't. I'm okay with that too. Looking back on everything, I'm content and happy I didn't. Life sometimes feels like it is full of comical moments. I look forward to more interviews. I'm confident that the right job for me is out there too.
