Blogging / Vlogging Smart: A better strategy to making it on steemit and online

in new •  7 years ago  (edited)

Many people start blogging and or Vlogging online ( Steemit, Youtube, Dtube etc) with the false belief of making thousands of money daily due to some are making it (trending / hot pages junkies), however (if you are among them) have you asked yourself how those people started ? What are their success strategies including their success and failure stories? Moreover, most of the successful people failed many times, accepted their mistakes and changed trajectory by being smart on what they do. Here are some few points:

Pic Source:

Smart Vs Hard work: You can work 18 hours a day without sleep and still fail if you do not work smart. In fact most of the successful people focus on their core-competences and build followers by appealing to the economic and or social realities of people, engaging with those people through replying to their comments and or personal chats. Moreover, you cannot force success by spamming a platform with hundreds of copy and paste comments (follow for follow, upvote for upvote for examples) and or useless / low quality posts (plagiarized) with many different accounts, hoping to succeed like those people making it online. Reality is that you will surely fail with such strategy because it is not a smart strategy (quality plus engagement pays more than quantity)

Jack Of all Trades: Are you a jack of all trades? If so then you can end up to be master of none because you cannot do all at the same time. Therefore, concentrate on where you are good at and build followers / contacts. Furthermore, blogging smart relates to removing greed and being patient -knowing that you can never make it so big in the 1st 3 months (unless you are a star or have large amount of money to buy steem power and or you have large followers in other social media platform whom are ready to support you). Put succinctly, 1st learn how things are done here from successful people before you start blogging full time.

Do you agree? Send in your comments and or sugestions and resteem in order to teach your contacts and upvote in order to send in your support.

Welcome and thanks a lot for your fast and great comment

As a newbie I appreciate blogs that offer advise on how to do better on this platform. I also Like to see content providers that respond and engage their followers. You do that, thank you. I can't follow too many people, and even some I like I give up on as they never respond.

Yeah some of those are the typical too big for you or the ones that are the like for like and disappear...but I suppose keep communicating cause one day someone may just say something back ;)

Welcome, it is always good to see people who learn well and smart. I wish you success

good

Working for 18 hours but no smart work initiated failure is guaranteed but working for 1 hours a day with smart work initiated success is promised.
And at the end of the day Nobody can be a jack of all trade like a commerce student cannot study science and arts at the same time so Do what you are good at .... Awesome post sir truly inspired ...

Welcome and am sure that you will be a big success here because you learn smart!!!

This is food for thought, this worth resteemed and upvote. Is very important to post a content that will have positive impact to the reader., I agree concentrates in your area of specialization.

Thanks and keep steeming to more success

Great advice - I've seen quite a few people say that "they came here for the money and ended up staying for the community".

The money won't be enough to get most people's fire started at least in the first three months as you mention - but the good thing is that you can practice and hone your skills, find your niche and find like-minded people whilst you build your following.

I am enjoying the journey (about 1 month in) and I'm learning a ton from your posts. Cheers!

Welcome bud and am sure that you will be a big success here. Success to you.

@charles1 thank you for this

Oh my God... Is like what you just said here is directly referred to me....
Thanks so much for this ... In fact this time i ain't rushing it against ...
Thought I will Hit fast and make it ... While I dint know there is actually what to do first and then let other things count ... Thanks so much for this bro... Voted ... Resteemed ... And followed.. you have really gave me a spice ... Thanks for everything

Good Vlog relate to what you know don't stretch to far you just sound desperate when you do. Good advice thanks for the blog

Welcome and more success to you.

A motherly advice. In this community, there is no shortcut to success except creativity. Work your brain to be creative.

Point, I agree with you. Thanks.

In my opinion, a lot of people are counting on money, but you can find a small group of people who runs a blog with passion, not looking at money just doing it for themselves and for faithful fans. Very good post!

Good point indeed, thanks for your comment

Dear @charles1. Thank you for your post. This is improving my acknowledgement. As plankter that can not understand comprehensively in aglance reading (read in skimmy), that is why I need to resteem in order to read again and again. This the poin make me so delighted:most of the successful people failed many times, accepted their mistakes and changed trajectory by being smart on what they do.

Thank you very much. Succed together.

Very interesting reviews, this is a challenge to make us work smarter and more creative

Welcome and more success to you

I agree with your opinion need knowledge to succeed. imitating others is a bad thing to be yourself with better ability, success not just get a lot of followers or big steem but how useful what we post and that we do when there is time please visit my blog and please give me criticism of the post I. your suggestions will be very useful.

Welcome and more success to you

It's very important post,I'm new in steemit here ,after I Read your posting ,learning less than successful people from what little possessed, I realize that this is where we work but it would be nice what we have today is the answer we will get to the fore tampa continue to learn and continue to create things that can be useful for myself and the people, thanks @ charles1 who has opened my eyes to continue to do even a little, this becomes a meaningful science for me and become an application in my future activities .Work will produce maximum results but the habit should be a role model in this life. There is no right without error but it is not the standard in this life.

Welcome and more success to you

This is super helpful. I kinda knew I was scattered aka "Jack off all trades", but needed to be called out on it! I like to think and talk about everything. And even if I do it well, I'm not building a strong steemit brand.

Point!!!! I agree with you.

When you see people are successful and make a lot of money, most of us don't how much times you failed to get there. It takes time and patience to make something successful. Thank you @charles1 for sharing this!

Welcome, do not forget to see my older posts for more tips. I wish you success.

Thanks for the blog. I working on getting it right. Quality is hard for some. It seems to come naturally for some.

Welcome and try to communicate smart..I wish you success

True.
Blogging/vlogging is really hectic and is not easy as it looks from the outside.
Hardwork in the right direction is smart work.
So smart work is really essential.
It's very important to recognize our key skills and make specific blogs on what we are good at.
And the first few month/years might still be a bleeding period.
We need to look at the bigger picture as a beginner

Good point, thanks

Moreover, you cannot force success by spamming a platform with hundreds of copy and paste comments (follow for follow, upvote for upvote for examples) and or useless / low quality posts (plagiarized) with many different accounts, hoping to succeed like those people making it online.

U just said it all here, because this has really been the major most people have here on steemit. To succeed here need originality and hard work, thanks boss for sharing. Looking forward to learn more from you

welcome and more success

The will to succeed is important, but the most important is the willingness to prepare for success.

Good point

@charles1 I honestly think this can be translatable to anything we do in life our passion propels us to success in essence if we're in just for the money disappointment is sure to follow. I agree that it's best to be genuine in your approach.

Good point, I agree

Exactly. No shortcut to success in everything, all need a process that starts from careful planning, hard work, commitment, positive thingking and as you described earlier, be smart, especially in setting priorities.

I totally agree withyour opinion on how to put together the best strategy, and the fundamental basis is to focus on what is good and to exploit it to the fullest.

In addition to what he has already said, I would add a phrase from the Greek writer Plutarch: patience has more power than strength.

We must have patience to reap fruit, greetings, you won another follower.

This post came at the perfect time as I feel like I have a. no idea what I am doing and b. like giving up. But you are right, blogging on here is the same as blogging not on steem. If you want followers it will take time and just keep putting out quality content. Thanks for sharing!

That's really good advice - I am 1 month in to Steemit, but feel I haven't found my grounds just yet. Perhaps I need to think about it more strategically. Just out of curiosity; do you consider setting goals part of your smart blogging? have you set yourself goals - be it daily or long term goals on what to achieve? I will follow you, hoping to learn some more pointer. :)
