The development squad of the zcash cryptocurrency has discharged new software that consists support elements of the system's planned Sapling upgrade, supposed to occur later this year.
Sapling is not the zcash first hard fork on the horizon – that's Overwinter, which is scheduled for late June of this year, but the 1.1.1 update inserts the initial consensus statutes in place as it gets ready for a Sapling-based testnet, depending on the release notes published Wednesday.
The Zcash team for the first time revealed details about Sapling back in February of previous year, which is intended at speeding up deals on the network, as previously reported.
