Am sure some of you can relate

Am sure some of you can relate. While growing up in london, was alway thinking that when older i would love to live in the countryside, and i'v made it. At first things was a bit ruff, but it took just over a year and a half b4 people got to know of me and i was unlike what they have seen in the media about some black people. While standing waiting for a bus, bad minded passers by in their cars would shout out obscenities, but unlike in london, they didnt stop but just drove on. Told people of this and they didnt think such things still went on, but on one occasion,my partner was waiting with me to go into town to do some shopping, and right on que, while waiting, 2 cars that passed, the passenger shout something at us, and so was born my whittness to it at last. As to why i wrote all this today is due to the fact that its all changed now, and as i pass people in this little place with not one set of traffic lights, we would exchange greetings of good morning afternoone or evenings, with that slight smill we all do. Today its newyears day, and i had to go to town around 5 miles away to pick up something i had ordered from an argos store, and low and behold, i waited for a bus at the time the table said one would pass by, and after 45 mins of waiting, it dawned on me that maybe they not running today, and so out went me thumb and hopes of a lift. The thing about the bus stop i was waiting at is that passers by would know where the bus rute goes, and so if anyone wanted to stop, they already had a big clue as to where i wanted to go to. Luckely for me, and elderly gentleman called Dave was kind hearted enogh to stop and offer me a lift more than 2 3rds of the way to where i wanted to go. we had a nice little chat, he dropped me off, and we went our ways. Now, the thing is, there are so many places one could go tofrom kettering, and so it would be much harder to try get a lift back, and so i had to phone a neighbour and ask them to come please get me, and she did, and i gave her £5 towards her petrol as she is a single mother of a very young child. My thoughts was on the way things have changed now for me up here, and i been working at the same place and job for just coming up to 4 years now. Its hard work for a person my age at times, but needs must, until i win the lotto, lol. Next year i plan to get a car and be more mobile and visit my family in london and peterborough, and close friends i still keep in contact with by the internet or message on mobile phones, and so, more things have to change for me this year, onwards and upwards. have a blessed year dear take time out your day to read this dear readers.
