Beatbox Harmonica video made specially for Steemit, What I plan on bringing to the Community.

Hey Steemit, My names Yanni, But on Steemit I go by the name ‘endaksi1’, Although I have already posted an introduction, I feel as If It would be good for me to rewrite my previously one as I now know a lot more about steemit and how everybody here loves to see new and original content.

A Bit About Me

I am a half Greek half British student from Cornwall and am currently studying Music Technology at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. Music is one of my greatest passions in life, And I have tried to diversify myself In learning as many styles and genres as possible. My passion for music started at a very young age, But probably the most influential moment in my life came when watching the film ’8 Mile’. For those of you who don’t know, '8 Mile' is about ‘Eminem’ and how he was able to make a name for himself in the rap game against all the odds, But it wasn’t the rapping that caught my eye in this film, oh no. The first time that I watched ‘8 mile’ was the first time that I had ever witnessed ‘Beatboxing’. That was 13 years ago, And I’ve been at it ever since. :)

At the age of 17 I was kicked out of my family home and put into temporary accommodation by the government. Fortunately I was able to get a job working in a kitchen as a ‘pot wash’, And move into a place of my own shortly after. It didn’t take long for me to work my way up to the position of ‘Sous Chef’. When I say that It didn’t take long, what I mean is, That everyone kept quitting, because working as a Chef is stressful as Fk!

Although I enjoy working as a chef it was never really what I wanted to do, So after reading a few books like ‘The Untethered Soul’ by ‘Michael A. Singer’, I had come to the conclusion that I needed to do whatever it was that made me happy in life, And that was music. So that week, I contacted my local college and signed up to do a 3 year Music and Music technology course.

In my time at college I was able to hone my skills in music composition and sequencing using a computer to create electronic music. I also taught myself to play the harmonica in this time, which I have incorporated with beatboxing to create a fairly unique style of performance. In my last post I simply linked to an old video that I had previously made. As I’m now aware that us Steemers are all about the fresh content, I have now created a new video just for steemit.

I'll admit that this wasn’t the best performance that I’m capable of, But the pressure sure builds up when you know that you’re be filmed. I feel that this is a good place to end this post, But if you fancy hearing seeing some more beatbox/music related videos from me be sure to drop me a message in the comment section.

Thanks for reading,

Hi Yanni,
Just popped in and saw your awesome skill on the video. I really enjoyed it. I play on the guitar by the way. I used to play on the blues harp. It is not an easy one. Best of luck for you here.
