Hi all, new to steemit but like what I see!

Hi,
A friend turned me on to steemit and I have acquired quite a few on bittrex. Am very interested in how this platform will perform and looking forward to participating. I don't yet understand how my own account works (at Bittrex it simply says memo: dc7b6db0dd544bce92e registered account: bittrex. But hopefully it will all work out in the wash!

    Hi, Welcome to steemit. I would recommend first making a post in the #introduceyourself tag. Read some of the other people story to get an idea of how it works and then make your own, just tell a little bit about your self ^_^

          A word of warning, you should not hold Liquid Steem unless you're looking to be a market maker or a short term speculator. Withdraw it to your account (simply use your account name in all lower case as your address, ignore 'memo') and either trade it for Steem Dollars or Power Up. You should look into what both of those mean, there are many explanations available on the site.

              No, absolutely not. Steem is structurally hostile to that kind of speculation. Steem is not deflationary like Bitcoin, it is highly inflationary by design. The white paper explains in detail.
