The deal is that you need to post actual real content, and that is what gets upvotes, not just asking for them.

You need to GIVE in order to RECEIVE. That's how Steemit works.

Your post doesn't have to be elaborate, it just needs to be real, and from the heart. People feel that.

Comment on the post you are "commenting" on - show that you actually read it, and understand it. Add to the conversation. Make your feelings known. We WANT to know what you think.

Or, post a photograph you like, and say why you like it. If you took it, say so, and say something about when you took it, and how it made you feel.

If you didn't take it, credit the person who did. Either is okay, but posting something and pretending it is yours, when it is not, is NOT okay, and will get you flagged.

Just asking for upvotes or follows, without giving anything first, just feels like spam. My opinion. And it is also likely to get you flagged.
