Using the next invention of aliens - alien nanobots - you can recreate the atmosphere of their home planet. Throw the nanobot to the ground to create a low-gravity biome open to entry and exit. It resembles gelatin in viscosity (apparently, their planet has a very high humidity). By jumping up, you will be like swimming. Crouch down to quickly descend inside the biome. In addition, you will not take damage if you jump out of the biome while at a high point.
Even if you don't want to use alien nanobots for their intended purpose, they can still be beneficial. Like bolts and nuts, they can be used as raw materials for crafting items. Combine it with a rare (or better) submachine gun, you get the Chimera beam gun. In spite of the OP, alien nanobots are helping to create their weapons. Combine a Nanobot with a Rare (or better) Submachine Gun to make a Pulse Rifle, or a Rare (or Better) Sniper Rifle to make a Rail Gun. Alien nanobots can be found on the ground, on top of the abductors, and inside the flagship.
