Marching Against Gay Marriage and Unnatural Families [MEXICO]

All across the country today there will be several marches going on in protest of gay marriage and the right for gays to adopt. According to the organization that has put this simultaneous march together, called "Frente Nacional por la Familia" or "National Front for the Family", in English, a family can only be considered a family if it is headed by one cis gender mother AND one cis gender father. Nobody really knows where this organization came from or who is funding it. Some things have been said about political parties belonging to the Left being behind this, which is obviously appalling. Unfortunately, what is more appalling is that there are sooo many sheep that are falling for this, people will actually come out to the march in droves and my stomach churns when I get messages from random acquaintances asking me to join the march and giving instructions on how they're actually going to do this!! If you haven't noticed by now, I'm so ANTI this hateful march, I'm in shock that people would actually do this. I have had so many great gay friends over the years; this is simply and plainly an awful act of violence.

To teach CHILDREN that being gay means you are not worthy of a partner, worthy of having kids, any type of normalcy in your life, you are not allowed to have an opinion, on the family, on how to raise kids, relationship advice, NOTHING. Wow, it's absolutely horrifying to me. Anyways, there is also a counter-march being organized for tomorrow, Sunday, where not just LGBT people but all people and families that support openness and diversity will also be able to defend their voice.

Quite frankly, I think its ridiculous that we have to deal with this in this day and age. As always, I question the very fiber of the motives for this, and blame it on distraction tactics for a truly disastrous week in Mexican politics (President exposed for plagiarizing his dissertation, Trump's absurd visit to Mexico, high ranking individuals resigning from cabinet.)

And Just in Case You Were Still Wondering
Right now my ''family'' is composed of my best friend, his live-in boyfriend, his boyfriend's little 10 year old sister who was abandoned by their mom, my kid, who was abandoned by his father, my other best-friend and her little daughter who was also abandoned by her father. So, how are you going to tell me ONLY HETEROS can raise children?

My Squad

My best friend Miza, and his partner John with my son and John's sister. Neither kids have a father in their lives, yet we all frequently travel together and try to get out a lot to do any activities that would be fun for the kids and the kids love it.

My best friend of 10 years and I. Seriously, we have been through so many ups and lows. I don't think of him as being gay anymore as much as I think about how brown his hair is. It's just a non-issue. He is a funny, caring, intelligent person that I love and have shared so much with. Don't tell me he would be an unfit parent, whatever this hate organization is!!!
