New to Steemit - Is this thing on?

I have blogged in the past...mostly during big life transitions. I suppose I could be considered an outward processor. If you don't know what that means, it simple means that I say things aloud to understand them perhaps a bit better or I write them down.

I was born in West Africa, specifically Lagos, Nigeria, a city of 20 million people. But I grew up in a small town in the Midwest, USA, in a city of 20,000.

But I have traveled quite a bit and while sharing those experiences seems like it would be fun, I can't help but feeling like it would be forcing others to watch your own home video.

All that aside, I am new here. Which means I will likely break some Steemit etiquette so please forgive me while I navigate my way around here.

My passions include my faith, my family, my two countries and when I am feeling suicidal, the Arsenal Football Club. Strong finance and accounting background as well as real estate.

I believe in community. Internally, I am truly a realist bordering on cynicism. Externally, I am a realist bordering on an optimist.

That said, let me know when I break something and I will try to fix it.
