Just joined Steemit, tonight. Looking forward to weening myself from Fake Book. My expectations are to find intelligent and articulate people on this site, with whom to share information and thought. . . My background is diverse. Employment has found me in landscaping, accounts payable, inventory control, city desk parts sales, information technology operations, development, and management, medical laboratories, commercial and residential construction management with numerous opportunities for hands-on involvement. Now, retired, life is catching up and a world I enjoyed throughout my life is crashing down on me. Once involved in politics as a young man, I spent 8 years as a Democrat, because my father was one. My neighbors elected me to precinct chair, congressional delegate, and state delegate. Those were tough times. I learned a lot and became very disenchanted with the political process. So, for the next 8 years, I caucused with Republicans. Elected to the same positions, I found it to be more refreshing, but still frustrating. The kids were growing, so I left politics and raised a family. . . in a fantasy world. Now, it is past time to make up for dereliction of duty and join forces with those, who also want to take our country back.
