You can always do it the other way around. Post here then connect it to Facebook. It does give you that option.

    So they run parallel? I was under the impression that Facebook posts would be used directly by Steemit, but it looks like every post made in Facebook would have to be additionally posted to Steemit as a separate post. Is that correct?

      After you post it here hit the share tab at the bottom right of your post which will give you the option to share it to Facebook, Twitter etc.
