This is a new simple game I am creating called "I Care". It can be played in less that 2 minutes. Easiest game on steemit! The rules are simple. The prize is 1 #steembasicincome upvote for life for 2 different players chosen randomly among the valid entries.
Simple Rules
- Read the featured post about an issue to care about
- Make a comment that you have read it and you do care. (it can be short but you must say you read it and you care)

Not commenting here to enter the contest. Just thought I'd show my support for this "I care" game and phishing awareness.
It is the worst thing I have come across here on Steemit, and the more we can all be on the lookout and instruct others on prevention, the better.
The kind of phishing that has been going on here is criminal. Taking over someone else's account without permission with the intent of stealing their STEEM is criminal. It should be treated as such.
We can warn and educate, but everyone needs to be alert and not fall prey to these phishers. They're good, so a healthy amount of skepticism with any offers that provide links is warranted.
I would hope that Steemit would see fit to provide more safeguards of some kind to make it harder for these people to operate. Maybe a banner link upon signing in warning about the current phishing scams on the platform is warranted as well.

Phishing links and the sorts are terrible for the platform. A lot of newbies have lost their accounts to this menace. Click here to do this, blah blah blah... If there's a way to rid the platform of all that, it would really make for a safer ecosystem.

I am certainly going to check out that Phishing link as phishing is becoming a growing problem here on steemit. Luckily enough there are steemians fighting it and making others aware.
An issue I would like to bring to others attention to help spread the word about is the current movement to limit comment rewards to a min payout of $1.00. This is bad for all us minnows and for the over all growth of steemit.

My friend was a victim of phishing,hacked and retrieved her account and thats gave us lesson to be very careful .
if the culprit always putting phishing link to our post let us fished them with fishing net so they can't swim anymore

I've never really given much thought to the hacking and subsequent loss of access by users to their accounts, I care about the damage being done but I'm more concerned about measures that can be taken against it.
Apart from creating awareness is there nothing else that can be done???

It really saddens me when some one steals one's hard earned SBDs so easily . Afriend was hacked and his reputation moved to 5 he is now suffering with the recovery process. The hackers should be treated as bank robbers

@ireneblessing, tell him to use the mass comment replacer script to edit the comments. It will speed up the proces of editing them all. The faster the comments are edited, the faster the flags can be removed, and he can get his reputation backw

I read it, and I must care because the idea of Phishing annoys the crap out of me. The real challenge is how to stamp it out. As long as people get caught by phishing scams then they will continue to exist. If the people behind them put the same effort to working for good instead of evil, the world could be a much better place.

I can say, that was really a serious problem because these days I have been seeing a lot of posts on my feed about their accounts being hacked. I read it and I cared...enough that I am putting a reminder at the bottom of my posts now. I had also made a post, to help protect my new friends I've met. This was due to the impact phishing had on a friend of mine. I never knew of it before that friend made me aware. If we're going to be a self policing community, we all have to help protect one another.

Thank you very much. I was very glad to see that this morning. Why does one do that to another, for what reason¿ And how is that authority delegated, and for what reason? Someone is responsible for arbitrarily effecting change on another's status without any word or discussion. How is that? If we are a community, where is the discussion on steemit, and who is the deciding committee, and how are they authorised, and why do I not hear from them? If they, as I think only take note of their robots, and don't deal with people, they themselves are not being party to the community, and as I've mentioned, one robot I know of has, by spamming earned excess of 9,000$ while it's driver has, when I last checked, made nil contribution personally beyond a Resteem once every two or three weeks. WTF? This over the first 12 weeks I was on steemit. I can't be bothered with them when they hide from being specific or discussing here on steemit in front of whole community, in the open, their actions. Bullies, never prosper, and all I can do is bless them in the name of my God. May the blessings be.
